![]() Unlike hearts, Stamina is automatically recharged very quickly when Link is not using it. This is a gauge that should not be underestimated. Stamina allows Link to do many things: sprint, climb, glide, aim his bow, charge his shots. We advise you to take hearts, especially if you are not very comfortable in combat or if you don't want to spend too much time in the menus to heal yourself at the slightest blow received. This being said, in most cases, the best solution is of course to never get hit. Finally, there are some doors that require you to have a certain minimum number of hearts to open. Fall damage also ignore protection, so beware of missteps. Fire-based attacks will leave you at death's door before the flames take out your last quarter of a heart. Some enemies do attack combos and will therefore easily kill you by bypassing the instant-death protection. On the other hand, never taking a heart receptacle is not necessarily the ideal solution. ![]() This is especially problematic against extremely powerful enemies who will already take 10 hearts per attack anyway. If you had more hearts, say 10, you would have to spend a lot more resources and cook to fully heal yourself. ![]() If you were to take a hit and need to heal yourself, there are only 2.5 hearts to heal, which only requires only a few fruits or vegetables. ![]()
